Job Summary:

 

Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department through communication of policies and procedures.

Working closely with the HR Manager to support the Health and Safety /ISO 14001:2015 / Training systems at Atlas Fluid Systems

 

Knowledge and Skills (Education):

  • Completion of/or in process of obtaining Diploma in Human Resources Management
  • Health and Safety knowledge and hands on experience
  • 3+ years experience
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent English Communication skills (oral and written)
  • Knowledge of best practices / ESA Standards / Health and Safety Standards
  • Good presentation skills / training
  • Strong Coordination and organizational skills

Major Accountabilities:

    • Ensure all system requirements are being met for tracking the company training; Update Employee/Department Training records.
    • Assist employees with concerns and answer questions about the Martinrea Employee Environmental and Safety Policies.
    • Assist with the orientations of permanent and temporary employees and ensure their introduction to Martinrea is a positive experience.
    • Maintain the training library
    • Facilitate training as per the yearly training calendar.
    • Support and administer the ISO 14001:2015 system
    • Member of the JHSC / certified member and administrator of the monthly meetings and presentations.
    • Support, and take a lead role the Health and Safety Management System.
    • conduct and make recommendations for Eronomic assessments, guarding assessments and LOTO program and adherement
    • Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook
  • Provide backup to HR Manager during absence; provide support to employees, Supervisors and Manager where possible.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • 60% Office environment, 40% Plant floor (PPE required)

  • Recommendations:
    • Changes to HR processes, procedures, forms and polices & systems
    • Changes to Safety and EMS program
    • Improvements of communication to plant floor employees and Supervisors/ Managers
  • Quantitative Measurements:
    • KPI metrics outlined by Operations Mgr. and HR Manager
