Candidates must have a strong technical understanding of automotive body, chassis and suspension systems with the ability to:

  • Lead product design & development of new products and improve upon existing products
  • Coordinate on-site and off-site design reviews, CAD and FEA activities to meet customer performance requirements
  • Perform DFM&A reviews with manufacturing personnel to ensure operational input
  • Fulfill product design APQP requirements and participate in plant-held APQP reviews
  • Participate in Customer meetings and respond to Customer inquiries
  • Provide technical expertise in support of field failure analysis and develop and implement corrective actions

Requirements for this position include solid experience in design of Suspension Crossmembers & Assemblies, Suspension Links and Arms, Hitches, Bumpers, Body-in-White and Closures Experience, a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years related experience in automotive design and manufacturing with 5+ years' experience in stamping/welded assembly manufacturing is preferred.

The Sr. Project Engineer will be responsible to meet with Customers one-on-one, identify open issues and track them to closure while communicating activities to the U.S. Engineering Headquarter and Sales department.
