Job Summary: Responsible for Leading All Raw Material Negotiations, Capacity Procurement, Commodity & Supplier Strategies, Cost Savings Initiatives, VA/VE, Dual Sourcing Initiatives and Continuous Improvement.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Post-Secondary Diploma preferred in the following concentrations:
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Business Administration
  • 5+ Years Purchasing Experience
  • 5+ Years Negotiation Experience with a proven track record of generating results
  • Experience Planning, Executing and Enforcing Commodity and Supplier Strategies
  • Experience in Automotive or Similarly Fast Paced Manufacturing Environment
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook etc.)

 Essential Functions:

  • Effectively lead negotiations with supply base generating favorable outcomes
  • Analyze global deck of spend for savings, communization and rationalization opportunities
  • Team up with engineering to identify and implement communization opportunities that lower and streamline costs
  • Work with the supply base and designated engineering lead to build a repository of component VA/VE opportunities, establish timing and facilitate meetings between key cross functional team members to implement
  • Ensure that all suppliers pass Supplier Systems Assessments and Financial Reviews and are determined low risk
  • Meet fiscal year savings targets as determined by management
  • Meet and exceed supplier rationalization targets as determined by management
  • Meet and exceed other KPIs as applicable
  • Able to handle multiple projects effectively ensuring quality of work is sound and timelines are kept current
  • Other related duties as needed by the company
  • Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook

  • Office Environment
  • Occasional Company and Supplier Plant Environments

Physical Demands:

  • Effectively communicate with direct reports (if applicable), associates, peers, and management
  • Travel Required 10%

  • Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
