Job Summary:

Coordinate the execution of corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance, in addition to providing ideas for continuous improvement and support in the design of new tooling, to achieve the objectives of the department.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Mechanical metal engineering or related career,
  • Five to ten years experience in the automotive industry in similar position
  • Must have excellent communication, problem solving, organization, time management, and decision making skills
  • Must be able to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize
  • Must have a good knowledge of the English language
  • leadership skills
  • Tool and Die Apprenticeship Certification (Desirable)
  • GD&T Training
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)¬†
  • Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949


Essential Functions:

  • Execution of the preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance of the area of matriceria.
  • Implementation of engineering changes in dies and tooling.
  • Ensure a good functioning of the dies and tooling to meet the customer's requirements.
  • Fulfill the objectives of the department.
  • Administration and control of spare parts.
  • Participate in other activities that may be required, support in company events such as external or internal meetings, exhibitions, external or internal training.
  • Constant communication with the die-making team.
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and cost savings in the area.
  • Coordinate the Matriceria area to ensure that assigned tasks are completed on time.
  • Comply with internal and corporate policies.
  • Comply with all applicable procedures and work instructions related to IATF 16949 and ISO14001.

Work Environment:

  • 50% Office, 50% Plant Floor (PPE Required)


Physical Demands:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and lift/move up to 25 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to crouch/kneel, drive, perform overhead work, pull/push, reach, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Must have 20/20 vision, either with or without glasses.


Health and Safety:

  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
