Job Summary:

  • Utilize the MRP and maintain and maintain ERP system integrity to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials to the production floor. Manage all material inventories and define/maintain at optimum levels

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Grade 12 completed / working towards PMAC or other designation preferred
  • 1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment role
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills in English
  • Must be physically capable of performing work required
  • Mathematically Inclined
  • Working knowledge of MRP with experience with CMS MRP System an asset
  • Computer literate. (strong knowledge in excel and outlook)

Responsibilities:

  • Runs and follows the MRP / Hot List daily/ Maintains the ERP system integrity
  • Send 12 week forecast and weekly releases for all materials ensuring on time delivery, includes service parts
  • Ensure Supplier EDI compliance
  • Maintain material related records.
  • Conducts material inventory cycle counts and audits for material and location of material (racks)
  • Provide continuous improvement ideas and to conduct Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Manage all material inventories (RAW, WIP, Finished Good, etc.) and define/maintain at optimum levels
  • All Supplier follow-up (shortages and expedites)
  • Manage and schedule inbound and outbound freight (consolidate where possible, interface with 3PL)
  • Manage, track and minimize material expedites
  • Managing inventory to meet plant and corporate objectives
  • Scrap entry and assess impact to materials schedule
  • Plan and Execute Physical Inventories as required
  • Resolve supplier invoice discrepancies (price or quantity)
  • Manage relationships with suppliers
  • Remain abreast of daily plant occurrences, anticipate and plan to avert potential problems pertaining to material issues and production build plan
  • Assist in procurement of raw materials required in new business development
  • Participate and function as a team member at all times
  • Any other duties as assigned by Management

Working Conditions

  • Plant floor and Office environment (PPE required)
  • Limited travel will be required

Effort/Physical Demands

  • Constant communication with employees and management, suppliers and Customers
