Agility Tooling Inc. Overview:

  • Specializes in the global procurement and construction of complex assembly equipment and metal forming dies for the automotive industry (current customers include Nissan, Ford, Daimler, General Motors, BMW and FCA)
  • Provides specialized engineering and program management for large scale projects and globally located launches
  • Located in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Primary Business Partner to the operational leadership team, program/project managers, and specialized
  • technical staff by managing both large scale multi-million dollar sales and project cost budgets with both customers
    and a supply base that are located globally, and a local manufacturing facility
  • Provide leadership in the development, tracking and management of project/program budgets ensuring a constant
    focus on optimizing project/program margins
  • Manage project material/parts logistics in an international off-site multi-location environment
  • Develop and execute to a purchasing cost optimization plan
  • Develop and maintain effective financial key performance indicators for the project-based manufacturing facility
  • Develop accurate and up-to-date short and long-term cash flows (both for projects and the legal entity)
  • In co-ordination with the operational team, prepare an accurate and comprehensive Annual Budget and periodic updates to the Forecast based upon current and changing conditions
  • Ensuring accurate and timely tracking of project financial information as well as meeting the reporting compliance
    requirements of a publically traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX)
  • Manage the annual internal and external financial audit process ensuring both a compliance with International
  • Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and a solid internal control environment
  • Effectively manage and develop strong Finance and Purchasing/Logistics teams (approx. team of 9, which includes
    the Controller and Purchasing Manager)

Required Qualifications and Critical Success Factors:

  • University Accounting degree and CPA designation (Strong balance sheet experience required)
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on leadership experience in a project-based manufacturing environment with complete responsibility for the accounting/supply chain function; automotive experience is preferred
  • Proven ability to solve highly complex multi-layer problems, and work effectively with others in a geographically dispersed working environment at multiple levels within the Company; Strong
  • Operations Focus
    Strong background in international business transactions/ government compliance (Asia experience is a plus)
  • An independent critical thinker who displays attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain an effective system of internal controls over a high volume multi-million dollar procurement process as well as all other financial areas
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Experience in working in an AS400 environment (CMS or Solarsoft experience is preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Word

  • Desk work. Overtime as required, Some international travel required (<10%)
