Job Summary: This role is responsible for duties which involve positioning, aligning and bolting dies to ram and anvil, as well as, checking machine set-up for proper usage and completing all documentation.

Knowledge and Skills (Education):

  • High School Diploma or past work experience deemed to be comparable
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend in English
  • Strong communicator in the English language, both written and oral
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in similar position or 3-5 years in a manufacturing environmental
  • Must have experience in working in a press shop with preference given to candidates with technical background.
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Please note that this position is physically demanding and must be able to lift more than 25lbs.

Job Summary: To Operate, setup, part in part out, transfer line, and coil fed stamping presses. Coil fed press operation experience a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Operates the roll forming line and other machinery used in the production process, or assist other machine operators.
  • Adjust roll tooling, set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
  • Test run new roll form tooling to generate sample parts. Strong knowledge of roll form tooling and ability to evaluate and generate improvement opportunities to tooling and process is preferred.
  • Be able to handle raw materials with overhead crane and load roll forming machine with raw material.
  • Be able to determine condition of tools (rework and clean when necessary) and verify coolant levels in the equipment.
  • Work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities and report productivity to the supervisor.
  • Keeping work area clean and organized is required.
  • Provide a high level of attention to detail and focus on a given task.
  • Follow all company rules and quality standards.
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Assemble items as instructed by shift leader.
  • Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually or suing a hoist
  • Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
  • Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
  • Follow work instructions and verbal directions t meet targeted production quotas.
  • Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook

Decision Making and Authority:

  • Co-ordinate changeover with production operators.
