Job Summary: Provide support to the Materials Department through cycle counting of product and ensuring inventory levels are sufficient.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Maintains inventory cycle counts;
  • Counts and reconciles randomly chosen or chosen part numbers and/or locations on a daily basis;
  • Assists in developing solutions to inventory discrepancies;
  • Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures;
  • Assist in improving inventory accuracy and development key metrics;
  • Cleans and maintains all assigned areas;
  • Elevates to Inventory Analyst and/or Materials Supervisor
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Verifies bin/ totelrack condition visually as counting.
  • Notify inventory analyst of damage/ unsafe conditions.
  • Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift Certification
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Inventory Management experience is highly desired;
  • Computer and spreadsheet proficiency;
  • Good Communicator ability to listen to others and clearly present information and request;
  • Service Oriented anticipates and works to meet the needs of internal and external customers;
  • Thorough makes sure that work is done accurately, correctly and thoroughly;
  • Self-starter takes action and seeks additional responsibilities;
  • CMS experience;
  • Advanced math skills (counting, problem solving, investigation, and analysis)
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001: 2015
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949

Work Environment:

  • Compliance with Occupational safety sections of Act.
  • Must report all accidents and near misses to your Supervisor
  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures.
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company.
  • Must wear all designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
