Required Education and Experience:

  • College courses in maintenance related discipline, or millwright or electrical certification (preferred)
  • 10 years of related experience in maintenance (5+ years in supervisory role)
  • Experience working with Tier 1, Tier 2 or OEM (stamping and welding)
  • Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949

Essential Functions:

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, provide direct supervision to off shift Maintenance Supervisors, Facility Maintenance Supervisor, and Maintenance Planner
  • Oversee maintenance related functions
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are maintained properly to avoid interruption of production and to minimize unnecessary downtime
  • Analyze machine downtime to identify and correct mechanical problems
  • Maintain maintenance related records
  • Coordinate with outside contractors on equipment repairs to source the most effective repairs at the most efficient cost
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements to throughput, inventory, and operational expense
  • Create and maintain PM program/schedule that ensures machine robustness along with the coordination of production schedule needs
  • Ensure availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment to minimize unnecessary machine downtime
  • Provide input and ensure completion of CI projects
  • Create and ensure a safe and secure work environment
  • Achieve goals and objectives that are set out each year by the Maintenance Manager
  • Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Maintenance Manager
  • Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of planes and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Work Environment:

  • 20% Office Environment, 80% Plant Floor (PPE Required)
