Job Summary

Assist with annual budgeting process as well as Weekly/Monthly Forecast.
• Coordinate and assist with functional Managers to collect required data for the budget templates.
• Assist the Controller/Assistant Controller in preparing Weekly Financial forecast (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash-flow).
• Provide costing analysis and review of CI projects (OPEX)
• Play an active role in Quarterly and Annual Physical inventory counts and help with the variance analysis and reporting.
• Tooling Processes Analysis.
• Cost Absorption Analysis.
• Perform Price Purchase Variance (PPV) analysis (Standard - Current Cost).
• Bill of material (BOM) reviews (As required).
• Review, audit and update standard costs as well as track operational expenses / trend analysis.
• Track Investment and Expense Projects.
• Monthly inventory reconciliations, explain variances and prepare necessary journal entries.
• Managing and record journal entries during the ME.
• FX revaluation for Inventory.
• Follow corporate guideline / timelines for close.
• Ad-hoc reporting supporting Controller and Management Team.
• Prepare accounts reconciliation. Account / trend analysis to support financial statements.
• Assists in M.E, Q.E. & Y.E processes and provide necessary reporting, analysis and reconciliations.
• Assist and help in Annual Audits both, internal and external.
Required Education and Experience:
• Completed or working towards an Accounting Designation (CPA; CPA, CA; CPA, CMA; CPA, CGA)
• Undergraduate Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar position
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• High level of organizational and time management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft excel- pivot tables, macros, lookups, etc.
• Proven self-starter, who requires limited supervision and direction, yet achieves tasks and overcomes problems and provides effective direction and analysis

Essential Functions:
• Preparation and Analysis of daily, weekly & monthly Operational KPI's.
o Inventory
o Scrap
o Efficiency
o OT
o Freight Cost
o Operation Expenses
• Execute Financial analysis.
• Develop appropriate remedial recommendations and report to management.
• Analysis and calculation of Sales/COGS as well as Developing and Analysis of Contribution Margin Standard to Actual (Forecast - Budget per Product Line/Platform/Program).
• Works and Assists on special projects such as Long-term Budget.
• Advise local finance management on financial matters.
• Revision, Calculation and advisory of Standard OH and Labor Cost in order to assure proper and timely P&L Impact.
• Complete Balance Sheet schedules and reconciliations as assigned.
• Assist Controller/Assistant Controller to prepare ad-hoc corporate templates and plant support reporting.
• Prepare weekly review of raw material reconciliation, WIP, and finished goods inventories.
• Perform Monthly detailed Absorption Analysis per Platform and Program.
• Perform BOM setup.
• Perform BOM Updates.
• Coordinate, Review and Audit BOM's with Engineering Teams.
• Perform the Standard Cost roll-up to ensure accurate allocation based on plant layout.
• Perform Standard Rates Calculation, Analysis and set up (Material, Labor and OH).
• Periodical Freight-in Analysis (Specifically indexed to Standard Cost).
• Inventory responsibilities:
o Prepare System batch and Journal Entries for Quarterly/Annual Inventory counts.
o Finance Lead Responsibility over physical inventory count processes and analysis of variances.
▪ Review, Record and Post Physical Adjustments accordingly.
• Prepare slow-moving inventory report and LCM analysis.
• Periodical Tooling Process Audit.
• Periodical Tooling Cost Analysis.
• Maintain and update standard costs for changes in foreign exchange, CRU, and other purchase orders changes.
• Assist for loading of final Information for Corporate consolidation purposes.
• Audit responsibilities:
o Assist controller in leading year-end audit with external auditors.
▪ Prepare year-end files and templates.
o Assist in the preparation of internal and external audit packages.
• Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook
• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation, O. Reg 851 for Industrial Establishments, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (with emphasis on Section 28, (1) (a)-(d), (2) (a)-(c))
• Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
Work Environment:
• 60% office, 40% plant floor (PPE required)

Some travel involved.

Decision Making and Authority:
• Recommendations:
o Process improvement. Automating recurring ME tasks.
o Changes to Capital, Tooling, Inventory, Costing and GL analysis processes, procedures, forms, and policies
o Review usage of current reports and eliminating not required reports and updating and reporting Key Metrics.
• Decision Making:
o Project plans - CMS

Physical Demands:
• Work is performed in an office environment and near other workers.
• Physical demands are light, consisting primarily of sitting, standing, and walking.
• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs.
• Must be able to work with push pull forces of up to 50lbs. or less
Health and Safety:
• Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
• Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
