Position Summary: This is a contract position (6-7 months) that will be responsible for visiting suppliers and managing parts inventory that have delivered from MRE plants or Die Vendor suppliers in China. Position is based in the Windsor-area, but there may be a need to travel to Brantford area, so having reliable transportation is a must.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or College Diploma in the Business/Materials & Operations Management
  • Proven work experience in the Materials Management field
  • Excellent Analytical, Problem Solving and Organizational Skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Effective time management skills
  • Strong analytical and negotiating skills

Responsibilities:

  • Work is performed at Manufacturing location (Integrator)
  • Work closely with Program Launch Manager
  • Perform Part cycle counts, manage, and update inventory tracker.
  • Send inventory updates to the program team on a regular basis.
  • Follow-up with assigned champions for late part deliveries.
  • Escalate part shortages to launch manger.
  • Assign/maintain inventory control at designated areas and racks.
  • Print/place missing labels and ensure proper labels are placed on each container.
  • Ensure approved/rejected parts have standard labels.
  • Ensure right quantity and correct Julian date/QL/Buy-Off parts are at the assembly cell.
  • Ensure obsolete revision/ non-conforming products are placed on hold in designated area with standard labels.
  • Purge assembly cell/area for any obsolete revision/non-conforming products
  • Prepare for shipment and Package left over parts and ship to Martinrea plant, ensure proper labels are placed before shipping.
  • Collaborate with Integrator's shipper/receiver.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as may be assigned
  • Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, Martinrea Employee Handbook and Martinrea Purchasing/Materials Policies and Procedures
