  • JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitors manufacturing schedules
  • Review and understand customer requirements
  • Communicates with vendors and internal departments to ensure flow of materials and goods within parameters
  • Analyzes, follows up on and resolves problems with vendor orders and materials requisitions
  • Oversees inventory control, storage and movement of material within the plant
  • Uses Continuous Improvement process to improve key measures or processes in areas of responsibility
  • Generates periodic and exception reports
  • Analyzes and assesses costs of purchased products and services
  • Review and understand Customer Requirements
  • Maintain and update the MRP system
  • Ensure the on-time delivery of raw materials and components to maintain daily production through the MRP system
  • Manage all material inventories (RAW, WIP, Finished Good, etc.) and define/maintain at optimum levels
  • Manage freight (consolidate where possible)
  • Manage, track and minimize material expedites
  • Develop and execute a plan for every part
  • Manage Suppliers (i.e. delivery performance (time and quantity)
  • Plan and Execute Physical Inventories as required
  • Plan, Manage and Optimize Production Schedule
  • Assess impact of scrap and rejects to schedule and act accordingly
  • Remain abreast of daily plant occurrences, anticipate and plan to avert potential problems pertaining to material issues and production build plan
  • Analyzes and assess the cost of purchased products and services
  • Assist in procurement of raw materials required in new business development
  • Participate and function as a team member at all times
  • Any other duties as assigned by Management

3.       QUALIFICATIONS

Upon appointment, an employee in this position should possess the qualifications noted.  If other qualifying factors are present, the minimum experience requirement may be modified or waived at entry level to the job.  Additional training may be provided to enhance job-specific knowledge and to further develop skills and abilities.

  1. EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's      degree in a job-related field or equivalent work experience

 

   B.   EXPERIENCE

  • One year      experience related to defined job responsibilities or equivalent training.

  • Good interpersonal and      communication skills a must
  • Computer skills
  • Organized
