Job Summary:

Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department

Knowledge and Skills (Education):

  • Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources or related field
  • 18 24 months experience in HR or related field preferably
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent English Communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong Coordination and organizational skills

Major Accountabilities:

  • Assist with the maintenance of the company's Performance Management systems
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquires or requests and provide assistance
  • Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data (personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Liaise with other departments or functions (payrolls, benefits etc.)
  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts etc.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain the team's agenda
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, for example the collection of employee feedback
  • Support other functions as assigned
  • Assist with Visa/Immigration process
  • Assist employees with concerns and answer questions on the Martinrea Employee Handbook and other HR related question
