Required Qualifications:
• College Diploma with completion and/or in the process of attending CHRP Certificate Program with emphasis in recruitment and training is an asset
• Minimum 3 years of recruiting for technical and non-technical positions within a manufacturing environment
• Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Excellent English Communication skills (oral and written)
• Strong Coordination and organizational skills
• Knowledge of Human Resource best practices, Human Rights Code and applicable law

• Flexibility to work extra hours as required and occasional alternative hours, if necessary to meet customer and employee relation and training schedules as required

• Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee and co-workers placed in an unsafe condition

Responsibilities:
• Source candidates for all office and plant-floor positions to support our operations through different sources such as Martinrea job board, social networking and direct recruiting
• Screen resumes and/or phone interview to pre-qualify candidates based on job description and hiring criteria
• Select and contact qualified candidates for in-person interview with departmental Supervisors/ Managers, and HR Manager.
• Conduct policy and MOM (Martinrea Orientation Module) training related to Human Resources, Production, Health, Safety and Environmental and Quality system requirements
• Conduct periodic audit for on the job training for all new hires and employees being moved to different departments due to position change and/or promotions
• Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following; Health and safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human resources policies, and Martinrea Employee Handbook
• Sort and maintain resumes bank as current as possible and actively source for potential candidates for immediate and future needs
• Contribute to continuous improvement process, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction, safety and housekeeping
• Responsible for Cintas uniform program
• Assist with handling social functions
• Any other duties as assigned by the HR Manager from time to time

Back-up Duties:
• Perform other duties as required
• Back up for admin tasks for HSE Coordinator
