Preferred Qualifications:
• University degree in Process/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering with the following experience:
• 5 years of manufacturing / resistance welding/stamping experience;
• 3 years of program management experience;
• Demonstrated capability within our organization for leadership and competency
• Excellent English Communication Skills (oral and written)
• Advanced knowledge in computer software for Windows
• Working knowledge of CAD software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:
• Ability to work independently and draw from experience in all aspect of the job assigned
• Plan, co-ordinate, lead, and participate with various multi-disciplined teams addressing objectives associated with the manufacturing and assembly process, productivity, volume outputs, scrap and rework, quality, safety, and delivery commitments
• Responsible for laying-out the manufacturing process for new products and providing estimates on cycle times, capital, tooling, special purpose gauges and other resource requirements to assist in new program quotation process
• Coordinates and manages "run-offs" at equipment vendors against "acceptance Criteria" as specified in the Technical Specifications for purchase
• Responsible for set-up information and operator instructions to the production floor, as well as creation and maintenance of job books
• Responsible for the development of in-house manufacturing processes, equipment, fixtures and tooling
• Provides manufacturing engineering support to his/her assigned area within the Company as required by each department during and after program launch
• Participate actively as APQP team member being responsible for the manufacturing process related tasks and activities
• Source and develop capable outside vendors and resources in the areas of machining, tooling, equipment and assembly
• Responsible to mistake and error proof the manufacturing and assembly process
• Maintain a current knowledge of the overall field of Manufacturing Engineering, new technology, and processes, attending training courses as needed
• Conduct studies and implement project plans to improve production efficiencies and reduce manufacturing costs
• Initiate plans and ideas for cost reductions and/or quality improvement measures. Supports the QA department when required
with customer concerns and corrective actions for 8D responses.
• Initiates DOEs for new tools and follow through with formalized reporting to management
• Ensure manufacturing and assembly processes comply with pertinent health, safety and environmental legislation, practices
and procedures
• Responsible to protect own health and safety by working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures
• Supports in the development of Process flow charts, Control Plans, PFMEA, DFMEA and Proto-type builds
• Support in the development of Preventative Maintenance Program for all manufacturing process equipment
• Trouble shoot process/equipment related issues and fine tune process to eliminate process-induced defects
• Review processing methods and provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities
• Ensure good housekeeping for the department and work area is tidy and organized at all times
• Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives on all aspect of the job
