Job Summary:

Provides administrative support and compliance to the Human Resources Department policies and procedures through effective communication and employee engagement. This is a 2nd Shift Position.

 

 Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associates in Human Resources or related field
  • 18-24 months experience in HR or related field
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent English Communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong Coordination and organizational skills

  • Work with management to report and monitor process compliance
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across different organizational levels, functions, and businesses.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquires or requests and provide assistance
  • Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
  • Liaise with other departments or functions (payrolls, benefits etc.)
  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts etc.
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
  • Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
  • Assist with the maintenance of the company's Performance Management systems
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects
  • Support other functions as assigned
  • Assist employees with concerns and answer questions on the Martinrea Employee Handbook and other HR related questions

Working Conditions

  • Predominantly in an office setting
  • May encounter light to moderate noise levels created by telephones, office machines, and light traffic while in office but higher noise levels when out on production floor approximately 25-35% of workday.

  • Adequate vision acuity
  • Frequent long hours/weekends possible

 

Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company
