Qualifications:

• Excellent English Communication Skills (oral and written)
• Advance knowledge in computer software for Windows 
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills  
• Grade 12 diploma with 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment 
• Strong leadership and problem solving skills
• Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations 
• Knowledge of Automotive industry processes and operations 
• Experienced working in Unionized environment

Responsibilities:
• Supervise, train and develop hourly employees in safe work practices
• Maintain and improve efficiencies on work cells 
• Ensure production is running to predetermined schedule 
• Ensure Quality standards are maintained 
• Review automated swipe system daily 
• Administer Collective Bargaining Agreement 
• Ensure rules and regulations are being complied with 
• Attend production meetings to ensure proper operations are maintained for quality, safety, production and delivery
• Achieve goals and objectives that are set out each year by the General Manager 
• Contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives on all aspects of the job 
• Compliance with Corporate policies and procedures 
• Provide timely reporting of key business information to Management 
• Improve relations between all departments 
• Work with Union and Management to improve Quality of Life in a plant atmosphere 
• Perform other duties as required
