Job Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for but not limited to directing, planning, organizing and measuring the efforts of all departments with subordinate Managers and Supervisors by setting goals and objectives in line with Plant KPI's.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate BA or BS in a business or engineering related discipline.
  • Previous experience as a Production Manager or Plant Manager.
  • Ten (10) years or more experience working in an automotive tier 1 manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to adapt and change.
  • Highly proficient with the full Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project).
  • Excellent communication skills (English written and oral).
  • Excellent time management and work organizational (prioritization) skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to resolve new and unique problems.
  • Firm understanding of automotive quality systems.
  • Firm understanding of financial/accounting data.

  • Strong conviction that the "Floor is core". (Plant floor success is of the utmost importance).

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across different organizational levels, functions, and businesses.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Direct the Plant Production department.
  • Oversee the Plant Materials department.
  • Oversee the Plant Continuous Improvement process.
  • Support Manager and Supervisor development through empowerment and encouraging team success.
  • Actively engage employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Play an active role in the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Analyse data and effectively respond and plan to changing environment

 

Working Conditions

  • Plant floor setting (PPE required)

  • Constant communication with employees, peers, and management

 

Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures
