Required Qualifications:

 

  • STRONG understanding of normal Maintenance Department operating procedures and conditions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in developing strong vendor relationships.
  • STRONG computer skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).  Experience in Tab ware a plus.
  • Understanding of all sectors involved in the activity flow from purchasing the item to paying the invoice.
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Procure parts, materials, supplies, tools and services for Maintenance Planners, Maintenance Supervisors, and Mechanics.
  • Remain current on available vendors through ongoing communication with Purchasing.
  • Generate requisitions and cash slips for purchase of items and professional services on CMS and Xeeva.
  • Work closely with suppliers, Receiving, Purchasing and Accounting to help reconcile vendor invoices with requisitions.
  • Work with Engineering to identify parts procurement requirements for capital projects.
  • Communicate with Purchasing, Storeroom, and Receiving personnel daily to expedite materials required to meet due dates.
  • Perform other maintenance related tasks and special assignments as requested.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area; cleans work area at the end of each shift.
  • Follows all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
  • Promptly and accurately addresses the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • Keeps supervisor and other team members informed of progress, issues and/or concerns.
  • Promotes and maintains a positive team environment.
  • Work with other team members, supervisors and/or members of management to resolve departmental or company-wide issues and to implement new programs, procedures or policies.
  • Schedule Repair and follow up on the status of repairs.
  • Lead Maintenance Department for issues/ closing PMS and work orders.  

  

Working Conditions

 

  • Manufacturing environment.
  • Over-time may be required and is expected.

 

Effort/Physical Demands

 

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk throughout 800,000 square foot facility.

 

Health and Safety Responsibilities

 

  • Complete and abide by Martinrea's Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Compliance with all OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure training and compliance of all company Health and Safety training and OSHA regulations.
  • Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in the form of long sleeve shirts/pants, ear plugs and safety glasses and any additional PPE that may be required for a specific task. 
  • Hand and arm protective equipment is required when handling sheet metal.
