Accounts Payable Associate




Accounting Manager





  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Associates or College degree
    • 1-3 years experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Sound planning and organizational skills.
    • General accounting knowledge.
    • Knowledge of CMS.
    • Proficiency with computers and MS Office software.

    • Daily processing of invoices. Including vouchering invoices and processing debit and credit memos and issuing checks
    • Backup for processing/clearing ACH/wire payments
    • Manual Checks
    • Opening and distributing mail.
    • Filing
    • Reviewing vendor accounts for aging.
    • Handles all vendor concerns and questions.
    • Processes all travel reimbursements.
    • Enters all vendor debit and credit memos.
    • Closing of AP Module
    • Prepares various monthly accounts payable reports.
    • Account Analysis A/P and Intercompany
    • Journal Entries
    • Minority Spend Report
    • Relocation
    • Accruals Investigating
    • Inter-company balancing through-out Month/Period End
    • Sales Tax
    • Audit Sending out yearly requests for statements and W9/IBEN
    • Promotes and maintains a positive team environment.
    • Keeps supervisor and other team members informed of progress, issues and/or concerns.
    • Work with other team members, supervisors and/or members of management to resolve departmental or company-wide issues and to implement new programs, procedures or policies.

    • Manufacturing environment.


    Effort/Physical Demands

    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to view a computer monitor for up to and over 8 hours a day.


    Health and Safety Responsibilities

    • Complete and abide by Martinrea's Health and Safety policies and procedures.
    • Compliance with all OSHA regulations.
    • Ensure training and compliance of all company Health and Safety training and OSHA regulations of team members.
    • Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in the form of long sleeve shirts/pants, ear plugs and safety glasses when on the plant floor and any additional PPE that may be required for a specific task.
