Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting
  • Root cause analysis
  • Conduct and lead in the improvement of capability studies and Gage R & R analysis
  • Document control and records management
  • Participate in and coordinate team-oriented problem solving (corrective and preventive actions) applying LEAN methodology
  • Participate in, and coordinate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Coordinate and responsible for PPAP submissions and reviews within specified timeframe
  • Review and make recommendations for the disposition of non-conforming/suspect products in a timely manner and ensure formal corrective actions are answered within customers guidelines
  • Contribute and assist in variability reduction, process improvement and continuous improvement
  • Notify internal and external customers of potential problems and make recommendations for resolutions
  • Contribute and participate in the Quality Management System and the Environmental System to meet customer requirements and the international standards
  • Contribute to successful project completion by participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, safety concerns, unsuitability of standard material and difficult coordination requirements
  • Coordinate project activities with other department's personnel to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completion (e.g., continual improvement project quality oversight)
  • Review product launch-related documentation to ensure its accuracy
  • Ensure time management is executed in the completion of all projects/ duties
  • Assist with the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing quality system requirements
  • Ensure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their co-workers placed in an unsafe condition

Working Conditions

Effort/Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout 800,000 square foot facility
  • Frequent crouching, stooping, kneeling
  • Ability to see small writing up close
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 35 lbs. And occasionally 60 to 100 lbs. with assistance

  • Compliance with all OSHA regulations
  • Ensure training and compliance of all company Health and Safety training and OSHA regulations
  • Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in the form of long sleeve shirts/pants, ear plugs and safety glasses and any additional PPE that may be required for a specific task
  • Hand and arm protective equipment is required when handling sheet metal
