Required Qualifications/ Education Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five to ten years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Tier one automotive experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, MSA, IATF 16949, ISO14001: 2015 and Control Plans;
  • Problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Statistical aptitude;
  • Computer and spreadsheet proficiency;

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Provides engineering and technical support for current products and new product launches;
  • Interfaces with customer quality representatives concerning quality problems and assures that effective corrective action is implemented;
  • Interprets customer specifications and requirements;
  • Applies and maintains quality operating system requirements and standards;
  • Maintains good internal and external supplier quality levels;
  • Serves as primary quality resource for problem identification, resolution and continuous improvement;
  • Designs and implements methods for process improvement, testing and inspection;
  • Develops and analyses quality metrics;
  • Ability to log into corporate supplier portal and access and navigate applicable customer portals;
  • Participates in supplier development and monitoring activities;
  • Participates in CPA audits;
  • Participates in annual Control Plan vs Work Instruction audits;

  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company.
  • Must wear all designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
