Job Summary: 

To inspect, audit and report on materials, processes and products using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the Company's quality standards.May also be required to perform basic quality techniques, possibly including calibration to track, analyze and report on materials, processes and products.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • One year experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in Automotive
  • Knowledge of Quality standards IATF 16949
  • Automotive quality experience an asset

Essential Functions:

  • Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
  • Complete paperwork completely and accurately
  • Inspect, audit, and report on materials, processes, and products using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques.
  • Perform and report on internal or external quality system audits.
  • Perform dock audits to verify the final product for visual condition, labeling and packaging
  • Complete audits on incoming material.
  • Verifying that hourly inspections are being done on the lines.
  • Approve and date all incoming material.
  • Verifying shipments to customers.
  • Scan load before shipping.
  • Address lab equipment concerns.
  • Perform calibration on laboratory equipment and process gauges, as requested.
  • Request lab consumables and process chemicals, as required.
  • Monitor and adjust process chemicals as outlined in the Laboratory Procedures Manual.


Work Environment:

  • Plant floor (PPE required)
  • Quality lab


Physical Demands:

  • Shift work
  • Overtime as required


Health and Safety:

  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company
